Trophy drop for trophy fortnight
I'm just running a little experiment to see how productive dumping trophies just before the trophy fortnight , to see if the rewards are worth collecting and what sector it best to mine in, what trophy range have you found to be the most productive for mining

Good luck with that.
I like to run between 1200-1300 when farming for coins.
You do noticeable feel the pinch when you get too low like 1200-1210 - the pickings are smaller.
I have found at certain times of the day when farming this range that I'm having to spend 20-25k sometimes to find something worthwhile hitting.
I like to keep trying & trying until I see a 150-200k total target to hit.
One thing I do (don't know if all ppl consider this) I ALWAYS make sure I clear a good 60k MINIMUM Elixir to cover the attack - I'm always VERY disappointed if I end up in negative equity after an attack!

Definately correct about the sub 1200 the rewards are poor, most bases are returning less than 3k of both... Unless there is a calculation that reduces what I can get! But in most cases doesn't return the investment in attacking troops. Even with the win bonus it just about covers the cost...

I'm sure i did see that you are heavy penalised for attacking bases with TH that are way lower than ur own. If i find the link, ill post it up here.
There's a calculation regarding max rewards you can steal.

I'm going to assume this didn't go well! Your trophy count is floating upward faster than a hot-air balloon.
Re: Trophy drop for trophy fortnight
Nope defenses kept winning on raids so trophies were going up quicker than I could loose them, the raids in the lower regions were easy but the rewards were poor the sweet spot was proving hard to stay in and the cost was not worth the return. Cheap sheild seems a better option, they destroy my town hall for 1000 gold and elix, I get to raid them for free and take more back! Plus the trophy losses are not significant.

Good call m8. It's certainly working for me a mo tho, that 1200-1300 area is just right.
I think the difference between us in terms of 'return per raid' is the TH. you're 1 level up from me, so ur potential returns are lower.
I'm racking it in at the mo, getting some good upgrades done on defenses & base & troops in the lab etc.
I'm catching you up m8, but won't upgrade my TH prob for several months.
